Documents, Alternatives #3 is an exhibition presenting works by international artists and artist collaborations. Built upon a series of time- based works that rely on performative process and created experience, Documents, Alternatives aims to resolve this issue by making the document and artwork reflexive. In doing this it acknowledges their need for change so that they remain continuous and in process through staging a practical and thought-provoking visual discussion. At BSAD Gallery, a small white walled exhibition space in Bath, the artists were asked to develop their artwork from the previous iterations in Stoke on Trent and Sydney. Here, the artists were given a remit: digitise the artwork wherever possible and appropriate. This saw the artworks develop to mostly become audio-visual responses to their physical starting point. Where this was not possible, the artworks responded to the environment through becoming smaller, shifting in scale, layout and position in the exhibition to affect change.
